Knowing the job isn't the same as knowing your people.

People are often promoted into leadership because they’re good at what they do. Then suddenly they’re responsible for humans.

Humans who think differently. Communicate differently. Respond differently under pressure. Humans whose lives don’t stop when they come to work.

The Unboxing Connection Leadership Programme develops the human side of leadership. Across two workshops and 1:1 coaching, leaders build greater self-awareness, understand the people around them and become more confident reaching in when something changes.

Know yourself. Know your crew. Reach in.

Three Stages. One Leadership Journey.

Workshop 1

Unboxing Impact

Understand yourself and the impact you have on others.

Workshop 2

Unboxing The Tough Stuff

Know what to say and do when the human stuff happens.

1:1 Coaching

Unboxing You

Turn what you’ve learned into how you actually lead.

Why combine all three?

Each part of the programme does something different.

Unboxing Impact starts with you. How you think, communicate, behave and the impact that has on the people around you.

Unboxing The Tough Stuff turns the focus to your people. How you notice when something changes, reach in, listen and handle the conversations that come with leading people.

Unboxing You makes it personal. One-to-one coaching gives you the space to work out what all of that means for you, your relationships and the situations you’re actually facing.

Put them together and you move from understanding yourself, to understanding your people, to changing how you lead.

Because knowing this stuff is useful. Actually doing something differently is what matters.

Who is it for?

  • Leaders who are brilliant at the job, but have never really been taught the human bit
  • New and experienced leaders who want to understand themselves and their impact better
  • Leaders who want more confidence handling the conversations that come with managing people
  • Organisations that want their leaders to know their people, build trust and reach in when something changes

It’s for leaders who want to understand their people better, have better conversations and know what to do when the human stuff happens.

“The session helped our leaders spot pressure earlier, have braver conversations and actually connect with people rather than manage them a a distance. We left with clarity, confidence and a shared vocabulary we still use across the business.”

Because this isn’t lecture-style training. The workshops involve conversation, reflection and practice, and every participant also receives 1:1 coaching. Keeping the cohort small gives people space to do the work properly.
